Our Story
King Cole Catering was started by Vernon Cole in 1996 and continues to operate with the same family values in mind today.
After 20 years of success serving the community with delicious, homecooked food at a fair price, Vernon proudly passed the business reins to his daughter Taylor in 2016. Together, father and daughter have grown King Cole Catering into a multi-faceted company, with a core business of providing full-service wedding, corporate, private event and takeout catering to customers throughout southern Manitoba. As a top caterer in the province, Taylor has evolved the business even further to accommodate events of any size, hiring additional staff and recruiting even more family members to be a part of the King Cole Catering team.

Taylor Cole
Co-Owner
Taylor Cole took over King Cole Catering in 2016, but her roots in the business go back much further. Having worked alongside her family since the age of 13, Taylor has hands-on experience in every aspect of catering, from kitchen prep to on-site event management and client relations.
With a background in hospitality, marketing, and operations, Taylor holds a degree in Communications and a diploma in Public Relations, and is currently completing a certificate in Communications Management. She brings a strategic, people-first approach to the business, with a strong focus on customer experience, clear communication, and thoughtful growth.
Under Taylor’s leadership, King Cole Catering has expanded its services, introduced new lines of business, and refined its menus and offerings, while maintaining its family-run values and reputation as one of Manitoba’s trusted wedding and event caterers.
Aidan Cole
Co-Owner & Head Chef
Aidan Cole grew up in the family business alongside his sister Taylor, working events from a young age and developing a hands-on understanding of large-scale catering. As Co-Owner and Head Chef, Aidan leads the culinary vision for King Cole Catering, blending creativity with the skills required for high-volume, high-quality production.
Aidan holds a degree in History and brings experience in both production cooking and fine dining, giving him a strong foundation in technique, consistency, and menu development. He is especially passionate about smoked meats, recipe testing, and refining systems that allow food to be executed at scale without sacrificing quality.
In addition to overseeing King Cole Catering’s menus, Aidan is the creative force behind the company’s ghost kitchen concepts, including Roo’s and Pancho & Lefty’s, where he develops delicious crowd-pleasing menus. His culinary leadership continues to shape the company’s growth while honouring the standards and craftsmanship the family business is known for.
